About the role

The primary focus of the Resource Support role is to balance customer needs while supporting resource allocation and logistics. This role will be responsible for scheduling of trials, audits, disinfections, shutdowns for a team of Network Operators. As a Resource Support you will be providing planning, packaging, and dispatch of network operations related work to manage safety, customer, resource allocation and environmental risks during connection of new/renewed/adjusted assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case managing major infrastructure and development programs
  • Ensuring new assets can be operated and maintained and commissioned
  • Inspecting the existing network to identify safety and condition related issues and specifying corrective actions.
  • Provide planning expertise that ensures that the customer impact of planned maintenance activities is minimised
  • Schedule and Coordinate developer inspections, disinfections and shutdowns
  • Manage scheduling exceptions
  • Responsible for the productivity (utilisation and efficiency) of developer inspection employees
  • Resolve or appropriately redirect customer enquiries (e.g. SW Connect, Contact Us and Customer Complaints), and be the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders for all developer enquiries
  • Comply with regulatory notification requirements and prepare notices for interruption of supply.
  • Process rebates for planned shutdowns greater than five hours.
  • Update workorders for stand down labour hours associated with after-hours work

About you

  • A Certificate IV Water Industry Operations (General), or ability to obtain within two years of appointment.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business support
  • Experience in using FRM MA and DA Licence or equivalent
  • Problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in dealing with customer, stakeholder and regulator issues.
  • Knowledge in how networks are operated to deliver water, recycled water, wastewater, and stormwater product and services to meet customer and stakeholder expectations.
  • Success in working with internal and external service delivery partners to achieve common goals

Additional Requirements:

  • Must hold a current drivers’ licence or can obtain one immediately.
  • This role is office based and may have some duties in the field.
  • Must be available to work outside normal working hours, either from home, office or in field, as required.
