Portfolio Assurance Lead
The purpose of this position to implement and manage the infrastructure assurance process for an investment portfolio of circa. $2 billion a year to support the efficient and effective management of infrastructure investment.
What you will be doing:
- Leading the investment decision support function for the infrastructure investment portfolio, providing expert input, direction and guidance to teams across the investment and delivery value chain to deliver maximum value to customers.
- Conducting reviews of business cases testing for robustness and advising management of any issues, including assessing and validating financial appraisals, reviewing risks, confirming benefits and outcomes and value for money.
- Providing stakeholders with professional and specialist advice relating to preparation of business cases to improve quality and successful completion of gateway requirements.
- Driving a culture of continual improvement to align infrastructure assurance processes and deliverables with corporate process, promote best practice and improve the process and management of the assurance pipeline.
About you:
- Relevant degree qualification (e.g., Finance, Business, Engineering) or experience deemed equivalent.
- Significant experience in investment appraisal and assurance (including business case development and review), preferably in an infrastructure / utility / regulated organisation.
- Experience in undertaking and overseeing pre and post gateway reviews.
- Experience in the INSW gateway assurance process and development of business cases.
- Understanding of capital project accounting and reporting procedures, and capital investment management.
