About the role
To lead the development of forward thinking, multi-driver responsive treatment planning that defines the actions required to deliver upon the outcomes set in product and service strategies.
Responsibilities include but are not limited too;
- We lead the development of strategic to detailed water, wastewater, recycled water and biosolids treatment plans for to support integrated water servicing for our customers aligned with the Sydney Water’s corporate strategy and vision of NSW Government
- We support development of regional, sub-regional and system plans for the city, ensuring treatment planning is integrated with network planning and broader stakeholder and customer objectives and requirements.
- We co-create treatment plans, working collaboratively with our internal and external stakeholders.
- We inform discussion with regulators including the EPA, NSW Health, on current and future requirements for treatment.
- We propose and facilitate innovative treatment initiatives and contribute to business improvement strategies.
- We provide technical and strategic inputs to development of the funding envelope for treatment in the long, medium, and short term
About you
- 10+ years’ experience in water, wastewater or recycled water treatment planning, operations and/or design.
- Experience writing robust business cases to justify investment.
- A degree in engineering/science or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders including senior management.
- Demonstrated experience in developing system servicing concepts, integrating treatment with broader considerations, and financial and economic analysis.
