Data & Systems Support Analyst 

You will manage, maintain and support the systems, visualisations, processes and analytics for the Infrastructure Investment Portfolio team. 

Take accountability for monitoring and maintaining the Analytics ecosystem of IT applications, data and data sources, ensuring process clarity and optimisation, data analytics and managing proactive change control.

What you will be doing

  • Partnering with the Systems & Reporting Manager on strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects supporting the infrastructure capital portfolio.
  • Data extraction, analysis, and support to the Insights team to enable the generation of data-driven key insights on project portfolio performance.
  • Increasing (AI) adoption on the use of machine learning, natural language processing and robotics to generate insights - optimise data structures & standards, educating stakeholders.
  • Undertake Business Analysis to understand & champion system change requests to enterprise systems - identifying, analysing, and reporting system faults and ensuring all problems are recorded for resolution and consistent with Data Governance & standards.
  • Driving continuous improvement in data quality and integrity throughout Sydney Water’s reporting ecosystem, in collaboration with key business & digital stakeholders. 

About you

  • Ability to solve complex data problems spanning across multiple data systems and demonstrating results.
  • Demonstrated exposure to portfolio performance datasets such as scheduling, cost, benefits and risk-based data over the course of the project lifecycle.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence diverse & senior stakeholder groups, synthesise needs into actionable use cases.
  • Confident problem solver with strong analytic and organisational skills, used to delivering outcomes within complex environments where there are competing priorities.
  • Skilled in delivering value through solutions development within the Microsoft suite:
  • Microsoft 365,
  • Power Platform and
  • Azure suites (including Power BI, Databricks/SQL).
  • Skills in Microsoft Fabric suite, Maximo as well as enterprise project portfolio systems such as Copperleaf, Primavera P6, and SAP S/4 EPPM are desired.
