About the role:

Join Sydney Water and the Asset Information Management Leadership Team as you oversee Asset Information Management Portfolio and Service Delivery.

This role will support our Asset Management System (AMS) and Asset Information System (AIS) to achieve our vision of delivering world-class water services.

Focus on strategic thinking and actively contribute to business roadmaps and governance forums to ensure effective asset information management. If you're ready to make a significant impact and drive our asset information management delivery, we want to hear from you!

What you will be doing: 

  • Portfolio and Resource Management: Develop and manage the asset information management portfolio and resource model.
  • Service Delivery and Reporting: Ensure efficient onboarding and delivery of asset information services and accurate reporting for team delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Process Improvement: Lead business processes improvement to support effective asset information and delivery as part of our product and services value chain.
  • Framework Development: Develop and manage frameworks for asset information management and effective delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to enable effective asset information management.
  • Leadership and Safety: Lead and mentor the team, ensuring accountability, safety and well-being, and participate in health and safety activities.

Your Experience and Qualifications:

You should have Tertiary qualifications / A degree in Information management, engineering, IT or a related discipline or demonstrated experience and an understanding of Quality management systems as they apply to service delivery. You will also have detailed knowledge of Enterprise Management Systems.

  • Asset Information Management: Proven experience in leading asset information management and fostering innovation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Continuous Improvement: Experience in driving projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • People Leadership: Strong leadership skills in setting goals, mentoring, coaching, and motivating teams.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse teams.
  • Collaborative Work: Experience in leading collaborative efforts to understand and articulate business requirements.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Strong analytical skills and ability to present findings effectively.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with asset management, GIS applications, business information processes, and SQL.
