We provide safe drinking, recycled, wastewater, and stormwater services with a focus on reliability, affordability, and environmental sustainability. As a state-owned corporation, we prioritize customers and communities.

About the role:

Are you passionate about turning data into clear, actionable insights that drive real impact? In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the charge in shaping how performance is measured, understood, and improved across our projects and programs.

As Performance Reporting Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of building a trusted, centralised Power BI reporting hub, ensuring data is not only accurate and accessible, but genuinely useful to those delivering complex projects. You’ll lead a team of skilled BI specialists, championing innovation, automation, and continuous improvement in our reporting tools and processes.

By integrating data from diverse sources, you’ll help project teams spot trends, flag risks, and seize opportunities early, empowering smarter decisions and stronger outcomes across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading & mentoring a team of BI specialists, you’ll deliver high-quality dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights across major infrastructure projects.
  • You will establish and maintain robust reporting standards and governance, ensuring consistency, reliability, and professionalism in all performance reporting outputs.
  • By collaborating with internal teams you’ll enhance data integration across systems like Primavera P6, SAP, AWS S3, Databricks, and SharePoint creating a seamless reporting experience.
  • Driving the development and management of data models and Power BI systems that provide secure access, dependable analysis, and prompt delivery of insights
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders, translating reporting needs into valuable solutions, uplifting data literacy, and supporting informed decision-making.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Equivalent relevant experience or a Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline (program/project management, engineering or other technical discipline) and business and/or management.
  • A proven ability to lead and mentor BI teams, driving high-quality reporting and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Extensive experience supporting the development & construction of large-scale infrastructure projects, with a background firmly rooted in the construction or engineering sectors rather than the banking or finance industries.
  • A strong understanding of data governance and reporting standards, with a knack for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance in performance insights.
  • Confidence managing tools like Power BI, with the judgement to balance secure data access with user needs across the business.
  • A people-first mindset—skilled at building stakeholder relationships, translating reporting needs into actionable insights, and uplifting data literacy across teams.
