About the role

The purpose of this role is to develop and implement change management strategies and plans for business change initiatives to drive faster employee adoption and greater utilisation and proficiency of the changes to ensure business, schedule and budget objectives are met. This role supports and advises project managers, communications and human resource practitioners and business leaders in change management approaches as well as coaching business leaders in leading their teams through significant transitions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide change coaching and support to people leaders and key stakeholders within the business to facilitate the successful implementation of business change initiatives.

Develop and execute change management strategies and plans to maximise employee adoption of the future state and minimise change resistance.

Apply Sydney Water’s Change Management Framework to create and implement actionable change management deliverables including stakeholder assessments, change impact assessments, communications plans, sponsor roadmaps, risk assessments, readiness assessments, training plans, resistance management plans etc.

About You

High level of relationship management skills and a track record of successfully navigating complex stakeholder environments, including building trust and managing resistance 

Strong networking, influencing and presentation skills and ability to take people on the change journey 

Demonstrate a solid understanding of change governance frameworks, with the ability to implement and embed core governance and risk management practices that support the effective delivery of change initiatives.

Adaptable, high attention to detail, and customer centric 

Tertiary qualification in Change Management or Business-related discipline, PROSCI experience 

5+ years professional years change management experience at a senior level

Competent in completing detailed change impact assessments for technical implementations and complex process change 

Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills

Highly competent end to end change management experience 

Extensive experience working within fast paced IT project-based environments

Ability to manage multiple projects – strong organisational skills.

Good time management and prioritisation skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Sound business acumen.

Excellent communication - verbal, written and listening skills.

Good presentation and facilitation skills

Understanding the fundamentals of change resistance and how to manage it

Confidence escalating issues in a timely manner.

Ability to influence and manage 'difficult stakeholders

Specific Technical Skills:

Advanced capabilities with Excel, PowerPoint and other change related software

Basic- Intermediate Project Management skills
