Project Coordinator – Infrastructure development

  • Lead Sydney Water’s engagement with developers and major infrastructure stakeholders
  • Enjoy work-life balance with our agile/flexible working environment – 2 days in H/O (Parramatta location) and 3 days from home.

The Opportunity

Some exciting opportunities have emerged in our Business Development – City Growth and Development team. We have multiple Project Coordinator roles now available, interfacing with our key internal stakeholders across Growth and Planning, Engineering and Networks/Operations and Commercial Frameworks to deliver outcomes for some of our nation’s largest developers, to support Sydney’s growth.

Over the next ten years, Sydney will undergo some of the most significant population growth in its history. Sydney Water supports this growth, through delivering world-class products and services – helping to develop thriving, liveable and sustainable cities.

The key function of this role is to align development needs with our business requirements. As the Project Coordinator, you will work with numerous internal and external stakeholders to champion customer needs and help develop new innovative solutions.

Key to the role will be your ability to build strategic relationships and facilitate the delivery of critical and complex growth projects.

About you

  • You are an experienced Project Coordinator with demonstrated skills, able to engage closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for all parties. 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. urban planning, engineering, Project Management methodologies, Construction, ) or experience deemed equivalent
  • Sound knowledge in infrastructure, urban/property development industry
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate, and work under pressure to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people
  • Demonstrated experience in application assessment, engineering and or planning
  • Understanding of the business systems required to manage commercial activities
  • General understanding of urban development processes
  • General understanding of risk management and coordination
