About the role
The Water Literacy & Education Coordinator position is focussed on daily oversight of team operations and program resources, including the management of educational facilities.
This role coordinates the team responsible for delivering tailored education programs and initiatives to assist in the delivery of the Sydney Water Strategy and protect and promote Sydney Water’s reputation.
Accountabilities & Deliverables
- Oversee multiple education programs, projects, and activations through efficient rostering, calendar management, and resource availability.
- Periodically deliver education programs, including corporate inductions, to ensure alignment with the Water Literacy and Education Plan.
- Ensure programs reflect key messaging and meet customer and stakeholder expectations to drive success.
- Coordinate the regular promotion of programs across various channels to fulfill planning objectives.
About you
Degree qualification or equivalent training and experience in education, teaching, environmental science, science or related discipline.
Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (with full comprehensive insurance) is required for this role.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the delivery of educational programs
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage a high volume of work across multiple projects and tasks, co-ordinate resources, set priorities and effectively adapt to changing conditions and priorities
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage the planning and execution of both small and large-scale events
- Strong interpersonal skills that enable building and maintaining productive internal and external relationships
- Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
- Skilled in effective analysis, problem solving and time management
