About the role
As an Insights Services Lead, you'll drive data-driven decision-making and ensure the resilience and scalability of our information services. You'll oversee the implementation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of these services, ensuring their secure operation using advanced frameworks and solutions. This role supports our Digital Strategic Plan and serves Sydney Water customers, requiring strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to align information services with strategic objectives. You'll foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, making a significant impact on our organization
Responsibilities
Oversee the delivery, operation, and implementation of information services across all sites, ensuring high availability, capacity, and resilience to enhance customer satisfaction and minimize downtime.
Collaborate with IT teams and external partners to continuously improve foundational services and seamlessly integrate information services with our strategic digital initiatives.
Ensure full adherence to Sydney Water’s IT policies, processes, and frameworks while prioritizing and allocating resources to align with customer service requirements and strategic goals.
Taking ownership of IT Service Management (ITSM) queues for incident response, service requests, problem records, and change approvals, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing service disruptions.
Lead operational acceptance activities for new technologies and digital initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing risk during implementation.
Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and continuously assess and report on operational risks and issues to maintain a customer-focused service delivery model. Execute tasks allocated by the Project and Functional Lead, ensuring information services meet customer expectations while optimizing operational workflows.
About You
Essential Requirements
Tertiary degree qualification in information technology, computer science or similar or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Information Technology
Minimum 7 years’ experience in delivery, implementation and operation of information services.
Demonstrated ability to lead and implement technologies across a number of geographical locations
Technical knowledge and/or experience in information technologies
Demonstrated knowledge of database management systems, including Exadata, Oracle and SQL Server, with a strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and security best practices.
Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools like SAP BI, BusinessObjects (BO) and Power BI, including designing and maintaining reports and dashboards.
Working knowledge of Foundation Technologies, Information and Assurance and Delivery Operations
Commercial acumen and business understanding.
