Portfolio Analyst

This role will support coordination and delivery of the Strategic Initiatives Program, which aims to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and capability uplift across of The Infrastructure Investment Portfolio.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead, develop and implement strategies, systems, processes and tools for continuous business improvements under the Strategic Initiatives Program.
  • Proactively develop and manage effective working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate exchange of information and promote business development opportunities to help enhance systems, strategies and procedures within business group
  • Validation of business assumptions through analysis of PPM data and other data sets for decision making and provide value-add support to portfolio and business optimisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the asset value chain by combining data analysis and continuous improvement approaches. This includes monitoring and evaluation of portfolio and program performances.
  • Conducting and developing statistical modelling and analysis including preparation of graphical and visualisation outputs, so the model outputs are accurate for use in infrastructure portfolio planning, maintenance & operational decision making.
  • Keeping abreast of current and emerging best practice, government policy and requirements

 About you:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Extensive experience in BI development and Data warehouse methodologies.
  • Strong working experience in presenting data and information in visual forms to enable effective informed business decisions (e.g. spatially, dashboards, tables and graphs).
  • Technical expertise regarding business information domain models, logical or conceptual data models, data mining and segmentation techniques. 
  • Experience in leading business improvement projects
