Reporting to Water Operations Contract Manager this role will see you assist contract management and administration of Sydney Water’s major contracts for supply of bulk chemicals, supply agreements and for outsourced operational services in Water Supply and Production team.

Operational & Commercial Management: Assist in managing bulk chemicals and major agreements, ensuring alignment with operational goals and commercial expectations.

Compliance Monitoring: Support the administration and management of agreements within financial and governance frameworks. Monitor supplier compliance with contract obligations and security of critical supply inputs essential for Sydney Water operations.

Commercial Analysis: Conduct periodic price reviews, analyse cost impacts, and prepare documentation for senior management approval. Collect and analyse usage and spend data to identify improvement opportunities and support budgeting and financial performance monitoring.

Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and collaboration.

Procurement & Tender Support: Assist in the procurement process, contract development, negotiation, and evaluation of tenders.


Essential Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, science, commerce or law.
  • Understanding of compliance, probity and audit requirements and how they relate to commercial contracts.
  • Understanding of treatment/ operational processes.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal business units, private partners/ contractors, regulators and external stakeholders
