About the role

As an experienced Solution Architect - Operational Technology you will be responsible to design and deliver transformative Operational Technology solutions that drive innovation and efficiency across our operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop comprehensive architecture designs for OT solutions with a strong focus on IoT, Digital Twins, automation, and integrated visualization platforms (e.g., single-pane-of-glass dashboards).
  • Define the roadmap for scalable, secure, and interoperable OT systems that enable real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and operational excellence.
  • Support solution development involving SCADA systems, ensuring seamless integration with emerging technologies and alignment with enterprise digital standards.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, engineers, SMEs, and project managers to define technical requirements, principles, and models that guide solution delivery.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis or related field.
  • Proven experience in OT architecture and solution design.
  • Strong knowledge of IoT platforms, Digital Twins, automation frameworks, and visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and integration with enterprise systems.
  • Ability to create secure, scalable, and future-ready OT solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills, with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Collaborative team player with strong planning, prioritisation, and time management capabilities.

Essential Requirements

  • You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role.

  • Flexibility to travel across Sydney Water sites as required.
