Senior Infrastructure Strategist
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Strategist as part of the Product and Infrastructure Performance business to lead Sydney Water’s strategic asset management function to ensure assets deliver on customer service expectations by balancing cost, risk and performance.
Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Infrastructure Strategy: Create a transformational infrastructure strategy that aligns with strategic outcomes, ensuring sustainable performance, risk management, and stakeholder satisfaction while striving for zero waste and emissions.
Collaboration and Capacity Building: Collaborate across the organization to implement the infrastructure strategy, enhancing asset management capabilities and competencies. Provide expert guidance and technical knowledge to foster effective customer communication and engagement.
Management Systems Integration: Contribute to the development and implementation of Management Systems relevant to Asset Management.
Process Improvement: Recognize and define improvement opportunities and tools to enhance decision-making throughout the value chain. Drive organizational change to elevate asset management capabilities, ensuring alignment with service outcomes and values
Policy and Plan Assurance: Define, champion, and assure the delivery of long, medium, and short-term corporate outcomes through the Asset Management Policy and Strategic Asset Management Plan.
Integration with Business Activities: Ensure asset management is integrated with key business functions, including planning, risk management, health and safety, operations, maintenance, capital delivery, and financial planning.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor’s qualifications in engineering, science or a related discipline, or experience deemed equivalent, with demonstrated experience and skills in development and implementation of strategic asset management frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in strategic asset management role, couple with risk management, financial and economic analysis and using/developing related tools in decision making
- Demonstrated ability to interact, build relationships, influence and drive change at all levels, both internal and external to the Organisation
- Demonstrated experience in asset management implementation through change management practices
Desirable:
- Previous experience with water / wastewater will be highly advantageous.
