About the role

The role is responsible for optimising the management, growth and value capture within Sydney Water’s leasing property portfolio. This role works closely with business units, internal and external stakeholders, and the broader team of property professionals to ensure the effective management and optimisation of our leasing property portfolio to deliver the maximum return to Sydney Water.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of our leasing property portfolio to identify optimisation opportunities
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise the performance and value of our properties, considering factors such as market conditions, tenant needs, and financial objectives
• Develop and implement comprehensive strategy for portfolio optimisation, focusing on enhancing asset value, increasing operational efficiency, and maximising returns
• Strategic oversight and leadership to identify new and innovative revenue and partnership / land use opportunities
• Analyse property performance metrics, financial data, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and develop and refine framework and action plan accordingly
• Lead the property management function and external managing agent to ensure KPIs are met and exceeded where possible

 About you

• Expert knowledge in property portfolio asset management and leasing, including legislative and compliance requirements (EPA, LGA, etc)
• Extensive experience in portfolio or asset management or a related role with a focus on holistic property optimisation
• Strong understanding of property management principles, real estate market dynamics, financial analysis and emerging trends
• Demonstrates proficiency in relevant facets of portfolio management, with a high weighting on revenue generation and OPEX saving initiatives
