We are Seeking a Senior Asset Information Assurance & Data Quality Specialist to develop, oversee and manage asset information standards, ensuring they align with Sydney Water’s goals and data quality frameworks.
In this role, you will help maintain high data standards by identifying issues, recommending improvements, and implementing solutions. You will also support key stakeholders by providing clear and effective visualisations and presentations of asset and spatial data, helping to inform decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Execute, monitor, and adapt delivery to enable effective and timely delivery with available resources.
- Facilitate information gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings to all levels of management. Lead effective UX and UI design for asset information design.
- Define and monitor rules, identify errors, and implement set thresholds for acceptable level of data quality. Effectively translate and communicate outcomes to stakeholders. Execute data validation, data integrity, data profiling, data auditing, and data gap analysis.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, engineering, information technology or a related discipline or experience deemed equivalent with demonstrated experience in information management and or data quality management
- Proven experience in developing queries, report writing and presentation of insights into findings. Experience with analytical and/or reporting solutions and business intelligence tools including Power BI (Desktop and Online), SAP Business Objects, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, DataBricks, Immuta and Collibra
- Demonstrated experience in analysing data and quantifying data quality issues in terms of cost to business and cost to fix (cost benefit analysis).
- Demonstrated ability to understand the dimensions of data quality and communicate with stakeholders their meaning using real business examples.
