About the role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Migration Business Analyst to join our established team as the Data Stream Lead. This role sits in the People Experience Platform (PxP) Program Team, within the People and Culture Group at Sydney Water.

The program is responsible for facilitating delivery of a Human Capital Management system and associated improvement projects enabling People and Culture business capabilities. The role responsibilities include;

  • Deliver on the data migration strategy and data synchronisation processes
  • Design and develop scalable end-to-end data processes e.g., data integration
  • Ensures compliance with applicable Sydney Water enterprise standards, processes and governance e.g., cyber security, data architecture
  • Define value proposition (cost / benefit / risk analysis) to determine priority master data and reference data
  • Manage risks and issues, actions and decisions for resolving significant issue
  • Provide advice and information to key stakeholders relating to delivery of the data stream
  • Manage data quality issues/errors/flaws in the current setup and identify ways to improve systems performance and efficiency
  • Facilitate monitoring and rectification of identified data quality, governance, or security issues
  • Champions Master Data Management (MDM) and data capability, particularly with consumers of people data

About you

  • Degree or qualification in relevant discipline e.g., information management or experience deemed equivalent with demonstrated experience in master data management.
  • Either certification or proven experience in data architecture / modelling
  • Extensive experience in master data management, data governance, source systems and cloud technologies
  • Strong project management and delivery focus
  • Strong stakeholder management, engagement and change management techniques to enable MDM aligned with the Enterprise Information Management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate information management concepts into business terms, use cases and business benefits
  • Extensive experience with best practice Master Data Management / Information Management initiatives
  • Experience in leading change in current data management practices to best practice MD
