Senior Graphic Designer (Internal Only)

About the role

The Senior Graphic Designer produces print and digital design solutions for the purposes of marketing, community education and internal communications.

Responsibilities

Concept generation: developing innovative ideas and providing creative services to all parts of Sydney Water

Design: working with industry-standard design software to produce print and digital assets for internal and external audiences.

Consistency: championing the Sydney Water brand and ensuring all content, whether it is produced in house or externally, adheres to brand guidelines.

Project management: managing the design process from ideation to delivery, ensuring regular and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the process.

Quality assurance: reviewing and providing feedback on the Graphic Designer’s work, and work produced by external suppliers, to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Collaboration: Facilitating teamwork across all business groups to meet project goals and align with the overall Sydney Water strategy.

Leadership: acting as a mentor and providing support, guidance and advice to the Graphic Designer

About you

  • Graphic design fundamentals: an advanced understanding of design principles, colour theory, typography, and composition.
  • Software proficiency: mastery of graphic design software tools that form part of the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Leadership: able to effectively communicate feedback and advice to the Graphic Designer.
  • Branding and identity: high-level knowledge of the branding process and how to maintain brand consistency across a variety of mediums and channels.
  • Graphic design fundamentals: an advanced understanding of design principles, colour theory, typography, and composition.
