About the role

SAP S/4 HANA is still new to us. As a Business Analyst you will be part of something special and be able to positively contribute to our community by working with teams that help us provide word-class water services today.

This role will focus on  SAP S/4 HANA improvements in Procurement, Supply Chain, Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) and Concur. 

Your key responsibilities are to:

  • Analyse and document end-to-end processes across Procurement, Supply Chain and Accounts Payable with the intent to identify areas of potential improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality of services and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and users to scope requirements and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate and provide effective support to end users on SAP and related systems in a timely manner.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on trends, analysis, audits, results, and appropriate commentary.
  • Co-ordinate and maintain the financial function, including all approvals and requests, complying with Delegation Manual and Procurement processes.
  • Prioritise and report business outcomes to our BXP Optimisation Lead. 


About you

To be successful in this position you need to bring a positive and collaborative attitude, working with Business Process Owners, Digital teams, External technical teams and end-users to resolve issues, competing priorities and deliver in the best interests of our corporation.

You will have 4+ years’ experience working as a SAP business analyst in a large complex organisation where you were required to research, investigate and provide practical solutions to system and process issues to the business. You will need to:

  • Hold a relevant business degree or tertiary qualifications and / or demonstrated business and IT experience deemed equivalent.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge in business analysis including end-to-end management of process change and driving continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing last minute changes to be available to work with large teams.
  • Communicate complex technical problems concisely and effectively to the business using language and concepts they can understood.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be an experienced communicator and negotiator who can influence outcomes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in S/4 HANA, VIM and Concur covering accounts payable, procurement and supply chain processes.
