The Information Management Consultant is a key player in optimising our information assets. You will work closely with diverse teams and stakeholders to analyse their information needs, processes, and systems, and recommend solutions that align with our organisational policies and standards. Key Responsibilities:
Expert Consultation: Analyse and provide expert advice on efficient and compliant management of documents and records.
Collaborative Development: Work with process owners to develop and implement compliant information management practices, including drafting procedures, standards, guidelines, and models.
Staff Instruction: Train staff in the use of Sydney Water enterprise content platforms such as EDRMS and Intranet, Search, Microsoft 365 interfaces, Business Process, and Glossary software.
Adoption and Monitoring: Drive and monitor the adoption and effectiveness of content management practices and principles, ensuring compliance.
Capability Development: Provide advice and training to enhance organisational and system capabilities, improving business benefits from information management systems, policies, and projects.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement and administration of information capture, storage, and use to enhance business processes or functions.
Leadership Opportunities: Consult and collaborate with process owners to drive efficient and compliant information management.
About the candidate
Tertiary qualifications or experience in content, information management, library science or other discipline in the generic knowledge management area
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to consult across various business functions to analyse, design, and enhance content management, recordkeeping, information integrity, information sharing, and administrative standards.
Strong interpersonal, training, and communication skills are essential for building effective working relationships and driving change.
Demonstrated proficiency in supporting and administering ERDMS, along with the capability to deliver, implement, and operate new solutions, will be highly valued
