About the role
To implement and monitor key aspects of Sydney Water’s Corporate Social Responsibility Blueprint to deliver increased water literacy and embed circular economy principles. This role will also be responsible for the delivery of Sydney Water’s community investment program, including opportunities for employee volunteering and ensuring sponsorship initiatives delivered by the brand and marketing team are aligned to the Corporate Social Responsibility strategy.
This role has no direct or indirect reports, however, it may provide coaching and support to other team members.
Accountabilities & Deliverables
- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of the Corporate Social Responsibility programs in line with the Corporate Social Responsibility Blueprint.
- Review the effectiveness of Corporate Social Responsibility programs and manage reporting commitments.
- Oversee, review and approve online content available to external audiences through sydneywater.com.au and other partner websites, blogs and social media to ensure all external Corporate Social Responsibility content is up to date and reflects Sydney Water Strategy and positioning.
- Manage grassroots community investment initiatives to protect and promote Sydney Water’s reputation, including community grants programs.
- Manage Sydney Water’s volunteering program including relationships with key partners.
- Involvement in community activations where activations where required
- This role works closely with other teams across Customer Strategy and Engagement, People and Culture and key program leads across the business in the delivery of the Corporate Social Responsibility Blueprint
- The role is responsible for developing and delivering Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives to assist in the delivery of the Sydney Water Strategy and protect and promote Sydney Water’s reputation.
About you
- Degree qualification in business, marketing, education, science or related discipline
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading Corporate Social Responsibility and/or grass-roots community engagement programs.
- Highly-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly convey complex information to any audience.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, including strong team development, coaching, diplomacy and conflict management skills.
- Strong planning, influencing, negotiation, facilitation and issues management skills.
- Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills – proven ability to develop rapport and credibility with business partners and colleagues.
- Strong commercial acumen including the ability to develop strategic plans, measure return on investment and prepare business cases.
- Project and contract management.
