About the role
The purpose of the role is to drive process stability and optimisation, and to provide analytical and technical expertise to improve team performance in operating wastewater treatment and resource recovery systems across the Blue Mountains Hub.
The Blue Mountains hub consists of Penrith WRRP, Winmalee WRRP, Richmond WRRP & North Richmond WRRP. The position will require your flexibility to learn, travel and support all plants within the Hub.
You will be part of the leadership team working closely with the Production Manager, and Operations and Maintenance Coordinator to achieve efficiency targets and ensure quality and compliance in safety, health and environment management systems. You will be part of the Process Controller network and will work collaboratively with the production, planning and optimisation team to align production outcomes with plant priorities. You will work collaboratively with Networks process owners to achieve an integrated systems approach that meets the expectations of customers and communities.
About you
The ideal candidate for this position would have worked within or have knowledge of the Sydney Water plants and production teams with a willingness to continue to grow your experience and skills:
- Engineering, Science or Trade qualification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in working in a collaborative and fast paced environment.
- Proficient in use of SCADA for process control, data analytics and diagnosis of assets and process issues.
- Previous experience with large scale complex projects interfacing with multiple work groups is highly desirable.
- Ability to influence team members in new ways of working.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, learning and living a positive team culture.
- A ‘hands-on’ approach to problem solving and trouble-shooting;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Exposure to safety, environment, and quality management systems;
