What will you be doing?
You will be part of major Developer Transformation Project. Developer Transformation is one of Sydney Water's key transformational program which targets to enable property developers to obtain water, wastewater and stormwater approvals from Sydney Water, such as approval to connect to our network leveraging a B2B platform. The new platform while replacing an aging incumbent platform will enrich the experience for property developers providing an increased transparency and ease of access to information tailored their needs.
Your role will involve:
Project planning: Plan out the required tasks that need to be completed along a timeline.
Collaborative Delivery: Work with multiple delivery teams (technical, quality, business, procurement) in order to deliver various outcomes in support of the project.
Budgeting: Compile project budgets, track against the approved financial plan and provide monthly financial forecasts for remaining project delivery.
Stakeholder engagement: Work with project stakeholders to secure project decisions, communicate project status and keep stakeholders informed.
Resource Planning: Ensure the correct resources are planned and assigned to deliver the required outcomes.
Leadership: Ensure project team members remain motivated, on task and effective. Making sure the project is heading in the right direction to achieve the business benefits.
Schedule management: Ensure the project schedule is defined and approved. Manage, update and communicate the schedule as the project progresses.
Change Control: Identify when the project goes out of approved boundaries (primarily time, cost, quality), and communicate with Leadership.
Risk and Issue Management: Identify, capture and manage any risks / issues associated with delivering projects.
Status Reporting: Monitor progress and regularly report back to key stakeholders.
About you
The Project Manager is accountable for the execution of project management processes for one or more projects. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated candidates who have:
Effective leadership, coordination, and team building skills.
Effective negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
Demonstrated experience managing and successfully delivery of technology projects.
Knowledge of current best practice in the delivery of IT solutions, project management methodologies and their application to IT projects.
A degree in technology or related discipline is desirable.
5 years experience in Project Management, Strong Agile, PI experience.
A qualification in AGILE (CSM) is desirable.
A qualification in project management (PRINCE2 Certification / PMI Certification) is desirable.
Experience in project scheduling software (either Microsoft Project / Primavera)
Experience in project finance management software (SAP)
