Water Resource Recovery (a Division within Sydney Water) is a family friendly workplace offering job and workhour flexibility. Production Officers are responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater treatment and resource recovery assets to meet legislative and product requirements, as well as meet customer, safety and efficiency targets.
This role will support Penrith, Winmalee, Richmond and North Richmond Water Resource Recovery Facilities
About you
With previous experience working in a collaborative fast paced environment, you will have highly developed soft skills and the drive to learn more in a supportive team culture.
- Trade qualification, degree or equivalent experience in a utilities or production environment is essential
- Experience within Water, Wastewater and / or Resource Recovery is highly advantageous
- A ‘hands-on’ approach to problem solving and trouble-shooting process equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exposure to safety, environment and quality management systems
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict production / maintenance timeframes
- A personal drive for continuous improvement and to contribute to a positive team culture
A willingness to take part in an overtime roster during weekdays and weekends, and work 12 hour 24/7 rotating shifts if required.
