- Support operations team in process improvement and administration of Chemical contracts and critical Water agreements.
What’s the role?
Reporting to Operations Performance and Assurance Manager this role will see you assist the centralisation of supplier purchase orders into our Procurement function and administration of major Water Supply Chemical Agreements and Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT) Water Filtration Agreements.
The purpose of this role is to assist the delivery of works and services through Suppliers that directly impact Sydney Water’s customers and reputation. This applies to individual jobs, and larger packages or programs of work
- Review, prepare and progress contract and supplier payment claim and invoices for internal approval.
- Review, assess and progress cost adjustments and variation claims.
- Review/validate docket matching against supplier/Contractor Invoice/payment claims.
- Receipt/gain approval/process invoices and send to Accts Payable
- Create/amend purchase requisitions, create purchase orders/work orders and cancel work orders.
- Prepare Goods receipts (GR) and Service Entry Sheets (SES) documentation.
- Reconciling supplier reports and compiling reports
- Create and maintain supplier data information.
- Supporting Water analysts and team with monthly reporting
- Ability to work across internal stakeholders (Plant staff, Hub managers, Business connect) to external stakeholders (suppliers)

Who are we looking for?
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Science, Business Administration, Procurement/Contract Management and/or relevant experience.
- SAP / Ariba experience is highly advantageous.
- Good written and verbal communications skills, including listening and interpretation.
- Ability to form strong, positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with a genuine customer focus.
- Experience in providing support or in the management and coordination of complex project that involves high degree of interaction between contractor and customer (i.e., Alliance, collaborative contract styles).
- Experience in utilising appropriate PC Software products such as Word Processing, Data Base and Spreadsheets in the provision of business services.
