About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Analyst to join our team. This pivotal role will involve undertaking in-depth research and analysis to support the preparation of well-researched and clearly articulated submissions to our regulators. You will play a key part in facilitating the achievement of our corporate, strategic, and financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake comprehensive research and analysis to inform the preparation of our regulatory submissions, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Interpret economic and financial models to provide accurate data and insights in support of submissions and related papers.
  • Deliver data-driven insights that support the development of pricing strategies, balancing commercial objectives with regulatory requirements. 
  • Ensure full compliance with information disclosure obligations, accurately collecting and reporting all required data.
  • Conduct ongoing research into the evolving regulatory landscape, including environmental regulations, incentive-based mechanisms for operating and capital expenditure, optimal pricing structures, cost of capital, depreciation, financeability, and third-party access arrangements.

About You

  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of economic and financial modelling.
  • Experience in the regulatory or financial sector, with a keen interest in regulatory affairs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive approach to research, with a deep understanding of current regulatory practices and trends.
