About the role:
Sydney Water is looking for a Structural Asset Manager to join our team on a fixed-term contract through to April 2026.
As the Structural Asset Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership, and technical oversight for ensuring structural assets across the water, wastewater & stormwater systems are managed in line with our asset management processes to ensure compliance to regulatory expectations, and to meet customer and stakeholder requirements.
What you'll do:
- Lead condition assessments and other initiatives to optimise asset lifecycle.
- Provide reporting to demonstrate effectiveness of initiatives, and to monitor asset condition.
- Coordinate and facilitate internal stakeholder workshops to manage asset condition, and to ensure risks are raised in an appropriate manner.
- Build and maintain expert specialist capability to provide insights into Sydney Water’s assets, operations and support technology
- Establish tools, standards and procedures in the area of expertise for implementation of product and/or asset decision frameworks and propose technical and strategic improvements.
- Provide specialist advice and troubleshooting support to optimise the delivery activities through of all phases of the asset lifecycle
You will have:
- Degree qualification in structural or civil engineering or a related discipline or relevant industry experience in the Structural Engineering field
- Knowledge of the water industry and its civil structures an advantage.
- Extensive experience in developing and reviewing complex reports, strategies or plans for regulators, stakeholders or Senior Managers.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the management of Structural assets
