About the role
The Program Management Office (PMO) Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that financial and project management frameworks are applied effectively within a large-scale programme. This role will involve overseeing governance, managing risks, issues, dependencies, financials (including benefits realisation), and quality, ensuring that PMO activities are completed on time and to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure governance of the programme, including risk, issue, and dependency management, financial tracking (cost and benefit), and quality assurance.
- Utilise relevant programme tools such as Microsoft Project Online, SAP-EPPM, and Power BI to maintain schedules and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with the Program Director, Program Manager, and Project Managers to ensure high-quality submissions and accurate reports.
- Ensure compliance with project and financial management frameworks, using required systems and tools.
- Build strong relationships with the Programme team and key stakeholders to support successful programme delivery.
- Assist in the implementation of PMO processes and best practices, ensuring that stage gate approvals and change/variation processes are followed appropriately.
- Provide insightful reports and analytics on programme performance, including financial tracking and benefits realisation.
- Identify and deliver actions to enhance the quality of programme delivery through effective reporting and monitoring.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Strong experience in programme or project management, ideally within a large-scale or complex programme environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project Online, SAP-EPPM, and Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of financial and project management frameworks.
- Experience with governance processes and the implementation of PMO best practices.
