The Opportunity

Lead the Digital and Multimedia team to deliver high-quality and professional communications to Sydney Water’s customers and employees through our digital platforms and social media to promote and protect Sydney Water’s reputation.

Direct reports include: • 2 x Senior Multimedia Advisor • 2 x Multimedia Advisor

Accountabilities & Deliverables

  • Support the business in the management of internal and external digital and multimedia communication channels to protect and promote Sydney Water’s brand and reputation.
  • Bring innovations in tools to improve responses and design.
  • Manage key projects / digital initiatives and deliver positive outcomes in line with business deadlines.
  • Meet Customer Satisfaction and Net Promotor Score goals.
  • Co-manage media and marketing channels, innovating to deliver a remarkable customer experience, drive stronger conversion and better engagement with the brand.
  • Support daily/weekly digital campaigns targeting CALD audiences using research and insights and perform business sanity testing.
  • Provide SME direction for insights gained from experience on digital and multimedia channels.
  • Ensure a consistent and professional look and feel to Sydney Water’s presence on digital and social media that reinforces our brand.
  • Work closely with the Digital team to enhance digital channels to reach a remote and field-based workforce, for example, mobile apps.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience

  • Degree qualifications in digital, business, social media management, communications or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a people management role, operating as part of a senior leadership team
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in digital channel management
  • Outstanding leadership and people management skills to clearly and influentially articulate vision and build support
  • Extensive experience in a range of digital and social media platforms, and ability to maximise the uses for consistent messaging
  • Extensive project management experience within a large or complex organisation
  • Ability to advise senior executives to influence strategic decision making in the organisation
  • Ability to think strategically and then execute upon that design
  • Strong ability to plan and coordinate multiple streams of work to effectively deliver high-quality, sustainable results as required by the business
  • Lateral thinker who demonstrates drive and commitment to delivering innovative solutions
  • Problem solving and influencing skills
  • Experience in running customer campaigns through digital platforms
  • Energetic and highly motivated
  • Strong supplier relationship management skills and experience
