Who is Network Maintenance at Sydney Water?
Responsible for providing maintenance services on network assets, meeting all regulatory requirements and ensuring the provision of high-quality reliable water related services in a safe, customer centric, environmentally responsible and cost-effective manner.
What will you be doing?
This role will see you start and finish in the field supporting three main assets; Storm Water, Portable Water and Sewer. We are looking for production workers to provide maintenance repairs, operational duties and deliver the best customer service in performing your tasks.
- Maintenance and repair of water and sewer mains, surface fittings including hydrants, valves, access chambers etc.
- Undertake all hands-on aspects construction delivery, plant, transport and specialist field services including the excavation of trenches, laying pipes, restoration, plant operation, truck driving, steel fixing and carpentry using both mechanical and manual methods to complete designated projects.
- Maintain good client relations and meet client needs as communicated be briefs, specifications, drawings and contract documents.
- Be responsible for the safe operation of Sydney Water Corporation's equipment and assets under the employee's control
Who are we looking for?
- Must have a current MR license
- Manual labouring experience ideally within maintenance; stormwater drainage, civil experience or water main.
- Front End Loader and Confined Space tickets are highly desirable
- The ability to travel across the Sydney Water network of operations
- Available Monday to Friday between 6.30am – 4pm, and can commit to overtime and weekend work as needed
