  • Work across dynamic locations, including St Marys and Quakers Hill, contributing to key projects.

As a Process Controller, you will take on a leadership role to help improve and streamline processes within the Wianamatta Hub by providing expert analysis and technical support.

In this leadership role, you will focus on boosting team performance in managing Water, Wastewater & Recycled Water, and Resource Recovery systems to achieve better product and system results.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to plant operations in all conditions and ensure plant operations align with Treatment and Sydney Water frameworks including health and safety requirements, quality and information management protocols, incident response and business continuity frameworks. 
  • Oversee product performance across Treatment and Network systems to meet end-user requirements, working closely with Network teams.
  • Monitor and review production performance to identify, prevent and manage trends and exceptions likely to impact on safety, public health, customers, environment, or reputation. 
  • Contribute to Hub business improvement projects (including implementation) according to the planned Production Plan and business improvement project plans. 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced operational team, managing and optimising production processes in Water, Wastewater, Recycled Water, and/or Resource Recovery systems.
  • Strong understanding of process optimisation in Water or Wastewater facilities.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, analytics software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiar with quality management systems (ISO 9000, 14000, 4801).
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive change.
  • Interest in data analytics, process control, and risk management.
  • Technical skills for diagnosing and maintaining processes and assets.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree qualifications in engineering / science or equivalent experience 
  • Relevant valid driver's licence required 
  • Ability to work flexible days and hours to meet business needs - This includes performing incident response outside of business hours.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role
