About the role
This role is an opportunity for a motivated Technical Specialist to contribute to Sydney Water’s Developer/B2B Platform by working alongside the Solution Architect and Systems Integration partner in the delivery of a strategic and transformational program. The role requires collaboration with UX designers, developers, external vendors, business stakeholders. The primary focus will be on the effective delivery of technology solutions that facilitate outcomes for customers and ensure that all contributors are aligned towards maintaining compliance with quality and standards.
About the project
Developer Transformation is a strategically important project within the context of the Future Ready transformation of Sydney Water operating. The program will address critical issues in Sydney Water’s growth and development services related to property developer experience, performance, productivity, and outdated technology. The program will set us up to meet our future growth servicing needs, reliable recovery of developer contribution charges and heightened service level expectations from developers.
The key objectives of the Developer Transformation program:
Enhance the experience for our property developer customers by consistently delivering services in a timely manner, increasing transparency, and improving access to information tailored to their needs.
Streamline our processes, data, and systems to improve productivity.
Empower our team by minimizing low-value tasks and enabling them to focus on high-value activities that drive productivity and revenue recovery.
Minimize errors and rework, enhance the quality and timeliness of our data, and implement flexible digital solutions to meet current and future needs.
Ensure continued provision of essential services to support Sydney's growth and fulfill legal obligations.
Meet developers' heightened service expectations.
About the candidate
At least Eight years’ experience as a software developer and technology specialist, ideally in a large corporate environment.
Expert skills and considerable experience in customer-facing web applications, including Case Management and Business to Business functions.
Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders, including third party vendors / Systems Integrators (SI) .
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to have complex technical conversations from a business-oriented capacity and conveying technical ideas in plain language.
Proven ability to effectively communicate solutions options and recommendations to seek endorsement in Sydney Water Digital governance forums.
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar technical fields
Proven experience in technology solution Delivery within large organizations across traditional and Cloud domains.
