Water Product Manager

You will have the opportunity to set and assure product quality outcomes for wastewater, recycled water and drinking water, including ownership of Drinking Water, Recycled Water, Dam Safety Management systems and regulatory reporting.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the co-creation of product management plans which ensure water, wastewater and recovered resources quality, reliability and resilience, delivering customer focused commercial outcomes.
  • Lead the co-ordination of the dam safety management system and coordination with Dam Safety NSW.
  • Develop and manage a forward work program and associated work plans to deliver key policies, strategic product management plans and performance outcomes for drinking water, recycled water and recovered resources product quality.
  • Ensure Drinking Water Quality and Recycled Water Quality Management System Frameworks are maintained and implemented aligned with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
  • Manage Sydney Water’s short, medium and long-term water, wastewater and recovered resources product quality performance outcomes, meeting customer and regulatory needs, integrating specialist advice.

 About You

  • Extensive experience in water quality and integrated water cycle management, including development and implementation of risk management frameworks.
  • Strong customer, community and regulator engagement experience, to shape strategy and direction for Sydney Water.
  • Experience managing technical projects with complex requirements, considerations and stakeholders.
  • Team leadership experience and demonstration in forming and leading high performing teams in a positive and constructive environment.
  • Previous experience in drinking water or recycled water strategy and policy is desirable.
  • Previous experience in management system implementation and assurance (drinking water, recycled water, quality, dam safety) is desirable.
