What will you be doing?

- EA Level 13 ($142,810.63 base salary plus superannuation)
- 38-hour work week
- 12-month fixed term contract
As a Contract and Procurement Coordinator, you play a key role in supporting the Customer Metering Operations Team by managing procurement activities, contract administration, project coordination, and routine financial processes. You work closely with project managers, team leaders, and the business unit manager to identify the most effective and compliant methods for acquiring technical goods and services.
Your focus is on enabling the team to meet program goals efficiently while ensuring adherence to Sydney Water’s policies and procedure
In this role, you will:
- Support project managers in setting up projects, assigning funding, acquiring materials, project administration and project accounting.
- Engage stakeholders across multiple teams including to determine the appropriate processes and accountabilities between teams.
- Co-ordinate and deliver routine project accounting reports with input from project, team, and business unit managers.
- Develop and maintain contract schedules including scoping, tendering, renewal, and expiry and closure.
- Assist with drafting, finalise, and seek approval on Contract Management Plans including meeting cadence and detail. Resolve low risk and value contractor issues seeking assistance as required.
- Support the project team to identify, record, escalate and develop strategies for dealing with contractual risks/issues.
- Work with stakeholders to assist with dealing with contractual issues and variations as they are raised, and consult with the business, Legal, insurance and compliance to prepare the necessary documentation.
- Administer Ariba, SAP, or other systems as required.
- Establish contracts in Ariba for business use, establish Contract Workspace and SPM workspace and develop with the business a contract handover plan.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, contract enablement, purchasing, project accounting, or project management.
- 5+ years’ experience working in contract administration in a large complex organisation, preferably in a similar organisation or industry sector.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convene complex commercial matters through reports and presentations.
- Strong teamwork capability with appreciation of intricacies of matrix organisations.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting business to manage contracts.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting business to procure and purchase materials and services for complex projects. we encourage you to express your interest by 9th Oct 2025
