What will you be doing?
As Transport Safety and Fatigue Specialist, you will be responsible for developing Sydney Waters tailored programs, promotions and training initiatives to reduce incidents and improve the management of transport and fatigue across the business.
This role will be a subject matter expert for Fatigue Management and be responsible for conducting fatigue modelling and assessment to support business rostering and design.
Working closely with our internal business units, external suppliers and Government Bodies, this role will deliver fit for purpose Transport Safety Management System and Fatigue Management processes that support the needs of the Sydney Water business to effectively manage risks in a complex regulatory and project-based environment.
In this role you will influence and negotiate with various business units across a dynamic business environment to secure adaption and engagement with Safety and health initiatives and processes. This role will lead the introduction of new safety solutions and the integration of safety solutions into practices to make it easier to work safely.

Who are we looking for?
You have demonstrated experience in logistics and safety with demonstrated experience in developing and successfully implementing a Transport Safety Management System and Fatigue Management programs within large complex organisations.
You will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in logistics, safety or relevant discipline
- Lead auditor qualification in safety and recognised safety investigations training (such as ICAM)
- Working knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Laws, WHS Act, WHS Regulations, and associated Codes of Practice and Australian Standards.
- Deep understanding of transport safety management frameworks, fatigue risk management systems and safety management systems.
