About Network Operations at Sydney Water?
The Network Operations Area Teams ensure the efficient delivery of water, recycled water, wastewater & stormwater services to customers by setting the operating parameters at a local level, operating the network and monitoring as appropriate.
They make sure the operating units and network components of the hydraulic system are being maintained to achieve their design capability at a specific standard of reliability and availability.
What will you be doing?
The Network Operator provides system response and operational capability to complex network service faults, developer and infrastructure programs and protection of Sydney Water assets, to achieve customer, stakeholder and regulatory requirements, through:
- Operating networks to resolve customer issues.
- Operational activities required for commissioning of new assets
- Site management for incidents
- High level control of potential environmental impacts and response to environmental incidents
- Planning of network operations to manage safety, customer and environmental risks
- Real time detailed regulatory and stakeholder communications/notifications from incidents
- Coordinated interface with Sydney Water’s delivery partners (internal and external)
About you:
- A Certificate IV Water Industry Operations (General), or ability to obtain within two years of appointment.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in maintaining and operating assets and systems for the delivery products and services to meet customer and stakeholder expectations.
- White Card and current Driver’s License
- The ability to travel across the Sydney Water network of operations
- Skilled in communicating with customers, including those impacted by asset failures
- Demonstrated high levels of safety Leadership and performance for self and others
- Experience in network operations and maintenance, identifying and troubleshooting issues.
