Account Manager – Developer Partnerships
Are you passionate about shaping the future of critical infrastructure projects? We are seeking an Account Manager to join our Growth and Development business to lead the coordination of regional/precinct management across the organisation that optimises the delivery of Sydney Water's Growth Servicing Investment Plans and supports growth and liveability outcomes across Greater Sydney.
As an Account Manager you will be responsible for building strategic relationships with major developers and business customers that optimises investment decisions, inspires innovation, and ensures a positive customer experience. The role also responsible for providing leadership and growth opportunities that motivates and inspires a team to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and ongoing requirements of Precinct Management within a region, including cross organisational collaboration to better align developer and Council growth forecasts with Sydney Water Growth Servicing Investment Plans.
- Assess, prioritise and allocate Major development projects and applications to the appropriate resource within the team to ensure the work is delivered on time and meeting quality and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively manage relationships with major developers, business customers, planning authorities and industry bodies to build strategic, long-term relationships that deliver the optimal infrastructure outcomes for growth and development.
- Identify opportunities for Sydney Water to improve assets, influence timing for the delivery of the corporations’ capital works, reduce capital spend by leveraging work undertaken by major developer projects.
About You:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. urban planning, engineering, business) or experience deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in working within a development servicing/ infrastructure planning environment.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary project teams including understanding and implementing business and commercial outcomes, build commitment, and foster high performance.
- Understanding of the business, asset and financial processes and systems required to manage commercial business activities.
- Understanding of political, market and commercial drivers for major projects, and demonstrated ability to responsively negotiate, assign and manage financial, operational and business risk.
- Understanding of competition and regulatory, financial considerations associated with a regulated service provider making commercial service offerings.
