About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Contract Officers to join our team that manages operational contracts across Sydney Water and its delivery partners.
This role actively contributes to the management of multi-million-dollar contracts within the Network Operations team, delivering works and services, at best value for Sydney Water.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract & Operational Management: Oversee multi-million-dollar contracts, ensuring timely delivery of works and services. Manage contractor performance, coordinate work programs, and support emergency response efforts.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with councils, contractors, and other partners. Handle enquiries and complaints professionally and contribute to stakeholder meetings.
- Commercial Oversight: Process contract payments, support financial reporting, and identify cost-effective delivery methods.
- Compliance & Performance: Monitor KPIs, ensure contract compliance, and participate in audits and site inspections.
- Contract Development: Contribute to contract scoping, tender evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
- Degree in Engineering, Science, or relevant experience in contract/project management or water industry operations.
- Current Driver’s Licence and White Card (mandatory).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in software systems; SAP experience highly regarded.
