We are looking for a Modeller to create and maintain Water (Hydrodynamic & Quality) models, as well as Odour & Corrosion (O&C) models. You will support model creation projects and provide technical assistance in ensuring the end-to-end modelling process is effectively managed. This includes offering business support for relevant modelling platforms and tools.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure new or updated models comply with regulatory requirements, meeting SWC operating licence obligations and accurately reporting environmental impact from overflows.
- Provide timely analysis and insights from model outputs for regulatory reporting and incidents, ensuring legal compliance with SWC operating licence.
- Manage the development, renewal, calibration, and updates of models based on stakeholder and regulatory requirements.
- Consult with Major Capital Work Projects to define technical requirements for new models and support the design, delivery, testing, and handover to meet SWC technical and quality standards.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience or proven equivalent industry experience
- Thorough understanding of model services, practices and procedures
- Engineering or science background particularly relevant to water industry
- Project management skills, with the ability to meet project milestones and also SLA deadlines for modelling outputs
- Proven working experience in the use of models to assess system/asset performance, identify performance gaps, set performance targets and benchmarks to support insight led decision making
- Proven technical expertise in creation and maintenance of models for use as a planning support tool to undertake servicing strategies, detailed planning (options reports), investment plans, renewals need assessments (and sizing), operational / shutdown planning, investigation of complaints, compliance reporting etc
- Proven experience in understanding/interpreting business needs and outcomes using modelling platforms/tools to provide information and advice to strategist, planners and other information consumers
Essential Requirements:
- Engineering and/or Science degree qualification
- Relevant post graduate qualifications would be an advantage
