Our Customer Account Creation team at Sydney Water is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Customer Service Professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll work with diverse customers, including residential, business, and government clients, as well as tradespeople, to ensure smooth and accurate account creation while providing exceptional customer service.
About the Role
In this varied role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer property data, resolving customer enquiries, and ensuring accurate billing information. You’ll liaise daily with a wide range of customers and stakeholders, offering timely solutions and insights into property development, metering, and rating enquiries.
This is not a call centre role, but you will occasionally collaborate with our Contact Centre team to address customer concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Interaction: Engage with residential, business, government, and trades customers to provide accurate information and resolve inquiries.
- Data Management: Maintain and update customer property records to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve complex customer inquiries, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and support customer satisfaction.
Experience & Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in a customer service role with outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Pays exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accurate data entry and problem resolution.
- Is a proactive and inquisitive problem solver who enjoys tackling challenges.
- Possesses a collaborative mindset and thrives in a team environment.
- Has experience with SAP ISU/CRM and/or property administration for a utility or government organisation (preferred, but not essential).
