Research Coordinator
You will support and deliver R&I research projects that focus on business and customer-led problems and knowledge gaps that align to our strategic objectives and our Innovation Research and Deployment Plan. Work with the R&I team and teams across the business to identify, scope and deliver research proposals and projects that may focus on areas such as asset and leak management, water quality, resource recovery and environmental protection across the organisation.
You will have the opportunity to prepare research proposals and provide support and manage the end-to-end process of research projects and programs, as well as develop key messaging and promote outcomes from the R&I program.
About the Role
- As the Research Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting projects across internal Groups, research organisations and universities.
- Support the full lifecycle of research projects, from challenge identification to design, implementation, translation and stakeholder management
- Assist with the management of administration including, project proposal development, contracts and agreements, tenders and EOI’s, reporting, communications regarding R&I projects.
- Scan for emerging technologies, critical scientific trends and develop horizon scans and desktop studies for R&I team and teams across the business.
- Work closely with internal teams to promote the uptake of research outcomes, supporting the translation of research into tools and resources for decision making.
- Assist, support and coordinate innovation and pilot projects of a technical nature and build over time the know-how and expertise to project manage multidisciplinary projects.
- Development of project management plan in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
About You
We are looking for a proactive, solutions-driven professional with:
- Science, environmental, engineering or STEM degree in a relevant discipline
- At least 2+ years relevant experience in engineering, environmental, science, research, and innovation or STEM
- Ability to coordinate and facilitate collaborative research
- Experience in supporting engineering and/or research projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in utilising research methodologies and tools.
- An understanding of how to work with research universities and government entities
