About the role:
Lead a team of Document Controllers supporting Sydney Water’s capital infrastructure projects. Oversee document control systems, ensure compliance, and drive best practice using platforms like SWDP, InEight, SharePoint, SWIM, and EDMS. Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to maintain document integrity and enable efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Document Controllers supporting major infrastructure projects.
- Oversee document control systems and ensure compliance with Sydney Water policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide training and support to internal and external stakeholders, and act as the main escalation point for system and process issues.
- Identify and implement process improvements, standardise methodologies, and support system enhancements.
- Manage documentation across multiple projects and delivery models, ensuring integrity, risk mitigation, and alignment with governance standards.
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Management, or a related field, with additional certifications in document control or process improvement highly regarded.
- Over 7 years’ experience in document and system control within major infrastructure projects.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities across internal departments and external partners.
- Proficiency in Sydney Water systems or similar platforms, and familiarity with relevant ISO standards.
