About the role

Responsible for providing maintenance services on network assets, meeting all regulatory requirements and ensuring the provision of high-quality reliable water related services in a safe, customer centric, environmentally responsible and cost-effective manner.

What will you be doing?

As a valued member of our frontline team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance services across key network assets, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining high-quality, reliable water-related services. Your focus will be on safety, customer satisfaction, and environmentally responsible operations. In this hands-on role, you’ll support our core network assets: Storm Water, Portable Water, and Sewer. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Maintenance and repair of water and sewer mains, surface fittings including hydrants, valves, access chambers etc.
  • Undertake all hands-on aspects construction delivery, plant, transport and specialist field services including the excavation of trenches, laying pipes, restoration, plant operation, truck driving, steel fixing and carpentry using both mechanical and manual methods to complete designated projects.
  • Maintain good client relations and meet client needs as communicated be briefs, specifications, drawings and contract documents.
  • Be responsible for the safe operation of Sydney Water Corporation's equipment and assets.

Who are we looking for?

If you're experienced in manual labour or have a background in stormwater drainage, civil works, or water maintenance, we’d love to hear from you. Additionally, you'll need:

  • Must have a current MR licence
  • Manual labouring experience ideally within maintenance; stormwater drainage, civil experience or water main.
  • Front End Loader and Confined Space tickets are highly desirable
  • The ability to travel across the Sydney Water network of operations
  • Available Monday to Friday between 6.30am – 4pm and can commit to overtime and weekend work as needed.
