Sydney Water is seeking a skilled and proactive Supplier Relationship & Performance Specialist to oversee the contractual operations and performance of our digital suppliers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that supplier relationships deliver maximum value while minimising risk to the organisation.

As Supplier Relationship & Performance Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end performance of key digital and technology vendors. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are met, risks are mitigated,
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end contract variations, amendments, and interpretations for complex and high-value digital agreements.
- Apply and contribute to the Supplier Performance Management framework to ensure effective supplier oversight.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and commercial obligations.
- Identify and resolve commercial issues, leveraging data and performance metrics to support decision-making.
- Forecast product and service requirements to support timely supplier delivery.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans for underperforming suppliers.
- Create cost, benefit, and risk models to support commercial negotiations and strategic planning.
- Lead the development and execution of supplier negotiation strategies to optimise long-term value for Sydney Water.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Law, or equivalent industry experience.
- Extensive experience in commercial and supplier relationship management within the IT/Digital sector.
- Proven track record managing large vendors, implementation partners, and complex contractual agreements in large organisations.
- Experience enhancing and maintaining Supplier Management Frameworks.
- Strong understanding of digital market trends, including commercial models and service scopes.
- Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a diverse supplier base.
- Knowledge of SAP is desirable.
