About the Role
The Complex Maintenance Projects team within Sydney Waters Customer Experience business unit supports a broad range of project management services and contract management.
Reporting to Delivery Program Leader you will be accountable for managing and delivering assigned capital works and operational projects to high standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
This role includes project management; cost estimation & control; procurement of materials & services; coordinating the construction unit's civil crews and external service providers; liaising with clients & giving expert construction advice; preparation of all documentation; planning & investigation; and commissioning.
About you
As a successful applicant you will have current project coordination / management experience, an understanding of construction or engineering projects being highly advantageous.
You’re a team member player who can confidently communication and negotiate successfully with stakeholders across varying levels to ensure program outcomes are achieved.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil, Structural Engineering or Science Degree.
- Driver’s license.
- Relevant project management experience and training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and construction methodologies for the construction of water infrastructure assets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contract management principles and methodologies
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrated civil management experience.
- Demonstrated capability & experience to manage all aspects of multiple projects including complex and/or difficult projects.
- Proven capability and personal attributes to consistently achieve the Key Actions for Frontline Managers as a means to achieve project and business unit outcomes.
- Proven ability, experience and personal attributes required to achieve excellent project and business unit outcomes in a demanding work environment with multiple concurrent projects.
