About the role
The Change Specialist will work to drive faster adoption and greater utilisation and proficiency of business changes through increasing levels of change capability and maturity across the organisation. This will be achieved by creating awareness in the use and application of change management disciplines through coaching and mentoring people leaders and front-line employees across Sydney Water and the facilitation of change workshops and learning initiatives
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide change coaching and support to people leaders (change makers) and change enablers within the business to increase the change capability levels and change maturity across the organisation
Maintain Sydney Water's change framework, tools and methodologies and adapt these to respond to learning and evolving best practice management theory and practice
Contribute to A Single View of Change sustainable mechanism and maintenance of its currency.
Who are we looking for?
Ability to Manage and Engage Diverse Stakeholders at All Levels: The candidate should be skilled in engaging stakeholders at all levels. They must effectively communicate, build relationships, and gain buy-in across diverse groups, tailoring their approach to different audiences and addressing varying concerns.
Ability to Pivot According to Program Changes and Needs (Quick on Their Feet): The candidate should be adaptable, able to quickly adjust to changing priorities or unforeseen challenges. They must be comfortable in dynamic environments, managing competing demands while maintaining focus and delivering results despite shifting conditions.
Strong Background in Managing Change in Large Transformation Programs, Particularly with Business Readiness Activities Involving BAU Teams: The ideal candidate should have experience managing change in large transformation programs, with a focus on business readiness. They should be skilled at preparing BAU teams for change, ensuring that the impact on day-to-day operations is minimised.
Tertiary qualification in Change Management or Business-related discipline
