Offset Project Manager
Sydney Water is the main provider of water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater services in Greater Sydney. This role is responsible for implementing a key project that will enable Sydney Water to achieve new Environment Protection Authority (EPA) regulations that are designed to improve waterway health by reducing nutrient pollution.

What you will be doing
- Lead collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to implement a suite of environmental projects designed to reduce nutrient loads discharged into waterways.
- Effectively integrate multiple considerations into your decisions including regulated requirements, asset performance, environmental monitoring, cost effectiveness, expert and stakeholder input.
- Refine and drive implementation of a program of environmental projects and environmental monitoring to support Sydney Water’s compliance with new regulated limits for treated wastewater.
- Provide effective guidance for the development, delivery and analytical outputs of environmental and aquatic monitoring programs.
- Manage effective stakeholder relationships, ensure effective community engagement and reflect customers’ environmental priorities.
About you
- Experience in managing and leading novel, multi-disciplinary projects with many stakeholders in a regulated, operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater operations and performance, environmental and waterway interactions, stormwater or natural resource management, regulated requirements and governance, and Sydney Water’s operating environment.
- Experience in developing and tracking project schedules and budgets, identifying and mitigating project risks and working with a range of vendors
- Ability to work constructively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to balance environmental, regulated, financial and customer considerations and apply internal policies
- Excellent communication skills, information synthesis, creative problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work with project management processes and systems.
