About the role
We’re seeking a Business Solution Consultant to managing and optimise Sydney Water’s Human Resource technology systems to ensure they support business objectives and deliver consistent performance. Key focus areas include:
- Systems Management: Act as the technical SME for systems within remit, ensuring stability, configuration, troubleshooting, and integration with other solutions. Support release management and maintain functional documentation.
- Solution Consulting & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement enhancements, monitor vendor roadmaps, assess impacts, and deliver solutions that maximise value from SaaS products.
- Compliance & Innovation: Manage risks, ensure compliance with legislation and policy, support audits, and stay ahead of industry trends to drive innovation and best practice.
Ideally, you have experience working in a large organisation within a Shared Services or HR Systems environment, where you’ve interpreted and applied HR policies, employment agreements, and legislative frameworks.
You are self-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, have an eye for detail and look for opportunities to share knowledge with your colleagues.
To be successful in this role, you must be a team-player, be able to navigate your way in a large organisation and juggle multiple initiatives and work with competing priorities.
About you
- You will have a Degree, Diploma or Cert IV in Business or Technology (or equivalent experience), Scrum certification, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and proven experience in senior roles such as Systems Analyst or Solution Consultant.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, cloud/SaaS products, application and integration design, and experience collaborating with vendors and technical teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to conceptualise and present solutions, strong organisational capability, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.
