Sydney Water is excited to announce that our 2026 Internship Program is now open. Gain real hands on water industry experience while studying at University! 

We are now welcoming applications from students on track to finish their studies in 2026 or 2027 from below disciplines:  

• Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical) 
• Sciences (Environmental and Other) 
• Supply Chain Management 
• Data and Analytics

How does our Intern program work?  

We understand that your studies are a priority and we all need a work life balance. Our program is generally designed to go for 12 months, and for you to work with us 2 or 3 days a week during term time and up to fulltime hours during University breaks. 

We have opportunities in teams across Water Supply, Stormwater, Engineering and Technical Services and Supply Chain in locations across Parramatta and Potts Hill.  

Please note that some of our locations are not easily accessible by public transport and will require you to have your own transport.  

About you? 

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at time of application 
• You will be currently studying for an Engineering, Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Data and Analytics and on track to finish your studies in 2026 or 2027. 
• You will be curious, innovative and ambitious and open to learning new experiences. 
• Have a solid academic transcript with good communication and problem solving skills 
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Programs
