About the role:
This role plays a key part in shaping our forward renewal and maintenance strategies. It is responsible for analysing the delivery of work programs and providing actionable insights to support informed decision-making. The focus is on optimising the allocation of resources to achieve the best outcomes in terms of cost, risk, delivery, and performance.
What you will be doing:
- Analyse work programming and delivery processes, including demand allocation and dispatch, to support effective planning and execution.
- Translate operational and strategic maintenance drivers (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) into resourced and costed activities.
- Provide analytics to determine internal and external resource requirements and support budgeting and financial planning.
- Identify and support business and process improvement opportunities, ensuring flexibility to adapt to change.
- Navigate complex reporting systems to deliver actionable insights and performance analytics.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate across diverse groups to ensure successful work program delivery.
Your Experience and Qualifications:
You should have relevant tertiary qualifications or experience with a focus on numerical analytics and decision making, and a drivers licence. Ideally you will have qualifications in project management such as PRINCE 2 and knowledge of Six Sigma / Lean certification
- Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel and Power BI (including dashboard creation), and familiarity with CMMS systems such as MAXIMO.
- Solid understanding of front-line operational work demand, civil maintenance workflows, and Sydney Water’s asset base.
- Ability to interpret and navigate complex asset management relationships and reporting systems.
- Good knowledge of budgeting, financial terminology, and work order processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present at Level 3 reporting standards.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills, self-management, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
